Diabetes Dominator De-clutter Your Environment & Mind – 1 Day Challenge

Today we are putting the focus on de-cluttering our external environments in order to free up space in our minds and bodies for improving our self-care and diabetes management practices.

Usually we don’t realize how bogged down mentally and physically we are by our environmental clutter, and how much it affects our willingness and desire to practice self-love and self care until we remove it!

Many studies have shown that reducing clutter in our external environments can improve our health in a variety of ways. Some medical professionals believe that a cluttered home is not just an aesthetic problem — it can lead to very real health issues like insomnia, weight gain, anxiety, and depression.

Maybe it’s your kitchen that’s full of things that are out of date or unhealthy that you’ve been meaning to clean out, or your diabetes supply area that’s been nagging at your mind to get organized, or that closet or garage that’s been on the bottom of the to-do list for too long.

Always remember, it is not an all-or-nothing scenario! You don’t need to get it all done at once. A little at a time is the way to sustainably make progress!

Let’s support each other as a community, and in the comments share what we did and how it made us feel to take action and make our environmental health a priority!

Challenge Action Items: Watch the 5 minute video! And then…

1. Choose an area of your home that you are going to give yourself the gift of self-love and self-care via de-cluttering.

2. SCHEDULE IN YOUR CALENDAR a time in the next seven days that you are 100% committed to working on de-cluttering for 30 minutes or more, knowing how much clearer and freer you will feel afterwards.

3. Comment below! I’d love to hear what you did and how it made you feel to clear away some of the clutter that can make us feel less healthy whether we realize it or not.

As always, let’s collectively choose to be more kind and loving to ourselves and those around us this week, because you deserve it, and the world needs more love and kindness!

xo, Daniele
