Rob Howe has had type 1 since New Year’s Day, 2005. Diagnosed at the age of 16, he was relieved that diabetes wouldn’t affect his ability to chase his dream of playing professional basketball.

After graduating Valedictorian of his high school class in 2007, Rob spent the next four years on a basketball scholarship at the University of Colorado. After college, Rob toured with the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters as a member of the Washington Generals, fulfilling his dream of playing professional ball.

Rob founded Diabetics Doing Things in 2015, with the goal of sharing stories of people with diabetes who are accomplishing amazing things in their everyday lives in order to provide inspiration to the thousands who are diagnosed every day around the world.
