Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to release my interview with Stacey Simms since she is such a sweetheart! She is an award-winning broadcaster and speaker, and produces and hosts Diabetes Connections, a popular new podcast which shares stories of connection to educate and inspire.
Stacey has blogged since 2007 about her family’s experience with type 1 diabetes. She created and administers the Charlotte T1D Parent Facebook group.
Stacey’s son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2006, one month before he turned two. She has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Chapter of JDRF where she donates all profits from her award-winning cookbook, I Can’t Cook, But I Know Someone Who Can. Stacey & her son are part of the Animas Heroes program.
